A collected luxury interior with handwoven rug and tapestry

House of Taraa London — Legacy of 60+ years

Heritage Crafted
for Luxury Homes.

A house of handcrafted rugs, tapestries and textiles — made slowly in artisan ateliers from Jaipur, for interiors that hold meaning across generations.

The Collections

Pieces that furnish
a life.

Four foundational chapters. Each piece commissioned in small ateliers, shaped by the hands and traditions of its maker.

Signature Craftsmanship

The slow art of the loom.

Every Taraa piece begins on a wooden loom in a quiet workshop — often the same loom passed between four or five generations of weavers. Wool is hand-spun, dyed in copper vats with madder root, walnut hull and pomegranate, and knotted thread by patient thread.

A single rug may take six months to complete. We would not have it any other way.

Our Story

A house built
on patience.

House of Taraa London is a family-led interiors house, built upon the legacy of Dr. Tara Chand Goyal — a lifelong collector and connoisseur of antique carpets and handwoven textiles, whose ateliers have stood in Jaipur since the 1960s.

Three generations on, the Goyal family continues the same quiet vocation — working with more than 120 artisans across India to bring sixty years of inherited craftsmanship to homes around the world.

The full story
The piece arrived like an heirloom. The colour, the hand of the wool — it has changed the room entirely.
Edie M., London
Taraa is the rare house that treats the artisan and the client with equal reverence.
World of Interiors
We have commissioned three rugs for our hotel. Each one is a quiet conversation piece.
